happy-4th-of-julyAre you ready to get with family and friends, fire up the grill, and celebrate Independence Day tomorrow?

Don’t let all of the excitement of the holiday push fire safety out of your mind. Independence Day celebrations can easily – and often do – result in fires that cause severe burns, blindness, or in extreme cases, even death.

Around 70% of all fireworks-related injuries happen between June 20th and July 20th, and children under the age of 15 make up 40% of those injuries. So double-check that you live within one of 290 communities that permit state-approved fireworks before making the decision to purchase and/or use them – and do so with caution.
